BEETHEFIRST, the desktop 3D printer out of Portugal, has seen a drop in price! According to the manufacturer, BEEVERYCREATIVE, the reduction in price comes from an increase in production, which has allowed them to lower manufacturing costs overall. Originally shipping at €1805, the machine is now only €1618. The manufacturer also points out, in their recent press release, that they are currently extending their network all over Europe and to countries the world over.
Rachel first covered the Portuguese printer after seeing it at the 3D PrintShow in London last year. You can get a more in-depth look at the printer in her post, but, overall, it is an FFF machine that prints 1.75 mm PLA at resolutions between 100 and 300 microns. Though it has a small build volume of 190mm x 135mm x 125mm, I hasten to add that it is just beautiful to look at. I just received one in the mail to review and it puts my RepRap to shame!
