Inside 3D Printing Heads to Mumbai with Printed Instruments in Tow

3D printing is now exploding in India, where the country with the world’s second largest population is experiencing a flood of activity related to the technology.  As international companies, like Autodesk, Stratasys, Renisha, and 3D Systems, cross the borders to set up shop, so too MecklerMedia’s Inside 3D Printing is heading to Mumbai, the financial capital of the country and also its largest city.

On December 3rd and 4th, Inside 3D Printing will be taking Mumbai by storm, this time introducing its Inside 3D Printing Experience Zone, meant as an educational and creative space for attendees to experience the technology and its applications.  Divide By Zero Technologies, previously covered on 3DPI, will be doing its part to contribute to a vibrant experience with an entire concert of 3D printed instruments.  The event will consist of band members from Berklee College of Music, United States, and the following instruments 3D printed by Divide By Zero: a ukulele, electric guitar, darbuka, flute, shaker, bong, and kanjeera.  CEO & Founder at Divide By Zero, Swapnil Sansare, says that “the instruments which will be used for the show were printed using Accucraft i 250+ 3D printer made right here in India.”

Also at the event, MecklerMedia’s Inside 3D Printing Design Challenge powered by Divide By Zero Technologies will give Indian designers a chance to take home 3D printers from the event. If you’re interested in attending, head over to the event page and be sure to enter the code “3DPI” to receive 10% off.  You can also contact [email protected] for more information.
