Free 3D Printable of the Week: the Blender Logo

This week’s 3D printable comes from Sketchfab user Xelus, who has modeled some twenty eight different brand logos in 3D.  The rendering applied to his logos are so shiny and captivating that it’s hard to choose just one! In the end, I had to go with the Blender logo, for the open source modeling software’s obvious applications for 3D printing.

Blender and other open source programs like OpenSCAD have helped to drive the 3D modeling community by providing a free alternative to more costly CAD programs.  With it, designers and engineers have been able to keep the costs of desktop 3D printer development low, ensuring that the RepRap movement can maintain its accessibility.  Three cheers for Blender: hip-hip, horray! hip-hip, horray! hip-hip, horray!

Be sure to check out Xelus’s other logos (some of which are not downloadable), including the “The Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim” logo:

And a number of car manufacturers, like BMW, which I include here for their decision to develop electric charging stations with which to compete against Tesla and push humanity in a more sustainable direction.

Oh! And be sure to see Xelus’s other models, too! Like this TRON Lamborghini!

Ok. I’ll stop now.

Just kidding! Look at this MSI 990FXA-GD80 Motherboard. That’s one crazy mother!

K. Done. Happy weekend!
