But there’s only a short amount of time left, as there’s only a short amount of time left on their Indiegogo campaign. So, from right now until August 15, the company is offering free 3D printing services for everyone around the globe.
To earn your free 3D print, you just have to a do a little social media promoting for the Freaks3D campaign. Here’s how it works:
1. Spread the word about the “free 3D print program” to your fellow 3D enthusiasts VIA twitter WITH the link: http://igg.me/at/freaks3d, and AT @elecfreaks.
2. Send your (5cm X 5cm) 3D print models to [email protected], with a snapshot of the tweet you sent out in Step 1. You’ll also need to include your shipping address and contact number. If you’re already a Freaks3D backer, you can just tell them your pledge ID and they’ll send the print along with your Freaks3D order. Again, the model must not be larger than 5cm X 5cm in size.
3. ElecFreaks will print your model and send the print to your door. Prints will be sent in order of those who complete steps 1 and 2, so the sooner your participate, the sooner you get your print.
The Freaks3D printer is a portable machine that has a heated bed, an all-metal hotend, and and an LCD screen, making it a rather capable-looking machine. Plus, it has a neat handle-design that allows for easy customization. ElecFreaks is the same company behind the 3D printed ELF drone and its 500 distributors worldwide seems to suggest that they may be a reliable company, too.
