Alan Meckler Talks Inside 3D Printing South Korea with Bloomberg's Taking Stock

The Inside 3D Printing Conference and Expo has been touring the world for more than a year now with the most recent event taking place in South Korea, last week. Bloomberg TV’s Taking Stock, with Pimm Fox, sat down with the founder of the series and CEO of Mediabistro, Alan Meckler, to get his thoughts on the latest installment of Inside 3DP, the Korean 3D printing market in general and on Korean prospects for his 3D printing mutual fund.

Meckler’s interview hints at the possible power of the South Korean 3D printing industry, or at least its confidence.  Some of the companies, he mentions, claim that they will takeover the entire market and none of those companies are on the radars of investors or 3D printing enthusiasts in the US. While there aren’t any that will be going public soon, to make it into the 3D Printing and Technology Fund, the entrepreneur’s interest was piqued by one company called Rokit.  Luckily, Mark Lee at 3DPI gives a pretty good run down on the company in this article. He also provides a comprehensive review of last week’s event, which he attended, here.

For more insights from Mr Meckler Sr, including where the technology’s most revolutionary potential stands, watch below. And, if you happen to be in Melbourne, this July, be sure to hit up the first 3D printing conference in Australia.
