After becoming the most successful Kickstarter product in history, the Pebble Time smart watch will be coming to market with a number of fun and colorful features. To prepare for its debut, Pebble has published the schematics for the watch, urging the world to design 3D printable accessories. MyMiniFactory has taken this initiative one step further, partnering with Pebble to launch a design contest devoted to the popular wrist-computer.
From now until March 16th, you have the chance to design a 3D printable companion to the Pebble Time smart watch. Think straps, cases, attachments, doo-dads, widgets, and humdingers. Be sure to include instructions and diagrams for complex designs and material instructions for accessories that must be printed in a special material. All models must fit within a build volume of 18x18x18cm. Designs will be test-printed by the MyMiniFactory team and opened up to the public to download. The design with the most downloads will win, taking home a Pebble Time watch, with the runner up earning $100. To upload your design, head over to MyMiniFactory here.
