Silo's Lightweight 3D Modeling Now Available for Linux

Silo, the popular 3D modeling software from Nevercenter, has just expanded its compatibility from Windows and OSX to Linux, giving a greater range of users the ability to take advantage of its unique platform.  Priced at a relatively reasonable $109, the software can be used for building and quick editing characters and other assets for video games, architectural scenes, and figures for 3D printing.  Silo uniquely combines the ability to mold high-polygon objects organically and work with hard-edged surfaces.

Though the software cannot be used for animation or texture mapping, it makes for a useful tool when combined with other 3D modeling programs.  And, with the addition of Linux compatibility, a greater number of people now have access to the software.  Existing Silo users can add Linux compatibility for free.  Otherwise, you can download a free 30-day trial at the Nevercenter site, so let us know how it works out for you in creating your 3D printable models!
