Cuyahoga Community College is Offering a New 3D Printing Class

3D printing classes are coming to Ohio’s Cuyahoga Community College this fall. The 3D Digital Design & Manufacturing Technology class is a one-year certificate program being offered to students interested in training in the use of 3D digital design, subtractive and Additive Manufacturing technologies.

The course is set to run for three semesters and will offer hands-on training with 3D printers, 3D scanners, CNC milling machines, reverse engineering software, CAD software and rapid prototyping. During the course students will learn manufacturing and engineering principles and receive two additive manufacturing certificates that lead to a Certificate of Proficiency in 3D Digital Design & Manufacturing Technology. Students will also be given help in preparing to attend the SME’s nationally recognized Additive Manufacturing certification program.
