Founded in 2011, 3D model marketplace CGTrader has become a massive community of 180,000 members sharing and selling countless models for computer graphics and 3D printing. With seed funding from Practica Capital and Intel Capital, the Lithunia-based company provides a valuable resource for the 3D design community to interact, receive and provide feedback, and show off their work. As with other community sites, the CGTrader community itself can be tapped for insights about the 3D technology they represent. And, with the CGTrader Awards, the site asked their 180k members to vote for the best software, tools, designers, online resources, and more. The good news for 3DPI is that, 662 designers answered CGTrader’s qualitative and quantitative surveys and voted us as the Best Website for 3D Printing News!
