Preview of 3D Printing Event 2012 in The Netherlands

As the 3D printing industry gains momentum in the mainstream media, so does the events calendar for the industry itself. The ecosystem between different industry participants is expanding by the minute and trade shows in various forms are an excellent forum to talk about and debate future trends as well as showcase the latest innovations. One of the key events is the upcoming 3D Printing Event in Eindhoven, the Netherlands which will take place October 23rd this year.

The 3D Printing Event hosts a full day of seminars that feature more than 30 speakers from all corners of the industry, covering social, technical and legal issues as well as looking into new business opportunities and future developments of the 3D printing industry.

During the morning keynote session, coverage will focus on material development and the up and coming trends for affordable, entry-level 3D printers. This will lead on to important legal issues, consumer trends and product development. The afternoon is reserved for panel discussions addressing the issues of designers, engineers and manufacturers within and industrial context.

In addition to a strong seminar line up, the 3D Printing Event will also host an exhibition allowing partnering companies — including Leapfrog, Plantin, Tettrode and Ultimaker — to showcase their latest products and innovations.

2013 is likely to see a host of new 3D printing events around the world, spreading the message for the growing number of stakeholders in and around the industry. In the mean time we will be covering the highlights from the second edition of the 3D Printing Event in the Netherlands.
