LUXeXceL Takes Home “Functional Printing Award” at 2014 FESPA Gala

From FEPSA, the global federation of 37 national associations for the screen printing, digital printing, and textile printing community, LUXeXceL walked away from the Gala Celebration Night in Munich the Global Winner of the FESPA Functional Printing Award for 2014. LUXeXceL stood against hundreds of competitors, yet their progress rose them above the rest and allowed others to see the company’s potential in the 3D printing and optic markets.

Within the optics market, LUXeXceL’s prints appeared ready for recognition in functional printing. Their platform for designing, manufacturing, and prototyping provides designers with creative potential. With the freedom and malleability offered by LUXeXceL, designers develop optical products and services while 3D printing continues to promote rapid testing and manufacturing previously unavailable. In fact, with a 3DP manufacturing model, the company’s patented technique for production effectively eliminates the need for post-processing. Thus, the printing process easily adjusts to scale for volume manufacturing. LUXeXceL has since become known for its 3D printed optical components such as lenses, micro optical surfaces, and photonics. An enthused CEO of the Netherlands company, Richard van de Vrie commented:

Richard LUXeXceL 3d printing“I am excited that the digital printing industry recognized LUXeXceL’s technology and the fact that we are changing the way optics are made. I am proud of the team that is working hard on the continuous improvement of our printing process on many fronts as well as material development. The fact that independent printing professionals selected LUXeXceL as the Global winner will hopefully contribute to our success.”

LUXeXceL promises a few things to look forward to as they continue to grow and develop. They are investing in the construction of a product and process development and manufacturing site dedicated to manufacture and promptly deliver customized non imaging plastic optical components. With this process, customers may upload a CAD file and receive orders globally.
