On April 30th iMakr opened London’s, and possibly the world’s, largest 3D printing retail store. As reported on 3DPI before, the two storey site sells a large variety of 3D printers, scanners, filament and accessories offering everyone the chance to see 3D printing tech in action.
To celebrate their recent opening, iMakr is now offering a wealth of special offers and courses to get you printing in 3D.
iMakr is offering deep discounts on a variety of printers and filaments;
• Up! Mini: £790 instead of £990
• Up! Plus: £1290 instead of £1450
• Cube 2nd Generation: £1129 instead of £1290
• ColorFabb PLA/PLH £30 instead of £35
For those of you out there who want to an introduction to 3D printing or to brush up your skill-set, the iMaker in-store 3D Printing Gurus will get you up to speed.
Courses are two hours long and include theory and practical sessions for £49.00 per person. Plus if you print a model – you will be able to take it home to impress your friends.
The first two sessions are; Make your first 3D Print: from blank to 3D object – on Tuesday May 21st and Training: from CAD to 3D Print – on Thursday May 23th. Don’t worry if you miss out, there will be more courses, workshops and events coming up in the near future.
And that’s not all, even though iMakr has only been open for less than a month, they have also added a 3D printing on demand service. Customers can just turn up with a flash drive and drop off CAD files at the store or email them in.
The iMakr genii will check your model and print them on their in-house Up! Plus printers. All this comes as standard with a 48 hour turnaround time.
