3Doodler Hitting Retail Stores with Options to Accessorize

In the next few months, Wobbleworks, manufacturers of the 3Doodler, plans to release three new accessories to supplement its handheld 3D printing pen. Graciously taking customer feedback, Wobblworks has produced the DoodleStand, the 3Doodler Nozzle Set and DoodleBlocks. As announced at CES, the 3Doodler will be available from online and bricks and mortor retail stores later this fiscal quarter in stores such as ThinkGeek.com, the MoMA Store and Brookstone. The rollout should reach twenty one countries by the end of the year according to Wobbleworks’ projections. Each new accessory ought to add to 3D doodling enjoyment.

The 3DoodleStand has a dual functionality for doodling. When off, one’s doodle can rest in the stand looking like an alert squid. The stand also helps stabilize the 3Doodler and guides along a smooth surface for more precise and flat printing. The two front legs act as speed control by pressing down on them as you push the 3Doodler along the desired route.

Nozzles with different shapes and sizes ought to accommodate some customer feedback. There will be at least six different nozzle shapes. The most popular will most likely be the flat nozzle with a wide ribbon-like extrusion. With that particular nozzle, doodlers can expect to build larger structures more quickly.

Finally, in retro fashion, Wobbleworks will offer blocks to be filled like stencils on a page. Unlike stencils, these blocks will be 3D moulds and unlike Playdoh moulds from days of my youth, these will be long lasting and free of a wet smell. Each element will enhance the 3Doodler experience as well as the user’s comfort and ability, leaving it in steady and adroit hands.
