3D Systems Reseller Nexxt Technologies teams up with 3D Printing Ally

Last week Nexxt Technologies formed a strategic partnership with 3D Printing Ally, with the aim of allowing both companies to expand the products and services that they offer as individual companies. Working together, the two partner companies will offer a total digital manufacturing package, from rapid prototyping, to system sales and installation and the manufacturing of custom parts.

As an authorised reseller of the entire line of 3D Systems  3D printers, Nexxt Technologies primarily focuses on the installation, maintenance and sales of 3D printers but also offers services that include rapid prototyping and 3D scanning on multiple platforms.

Nexxt Tech Founder David M. Pecoraro had this to say: “We are excited about combining our expertise with 3D Printing Ally. Manufacturing for the future is about harnessing the unique capabilities of our additive manufacturing technology. Together, we will be a leading provider of quick-turn flexible manufacturing with better, faster and more economically produced parts.”

3dally 3d printing 3D Printing Ally is a well-rounded 3D print shop that specializes in servicing businesses of all industries and sizes with their 3D modelling, rapid prototyping and finishing capabilities. Additionally they will provide help in the design of the project and help in implementing manufacturing for 3D printing as well as offering masking templates and inspection aides.

As 3D Systems and Stratasys show rapid growth due mostly to acquisitions and mergers, I expect more of these smaller companies to start partnering up in order to compete in their markets. Across the 3D printing industry expectations are increasing for companies to offer more than one type of service or product.

Expanding the number of products and services offered, however, is expensive and implementing the infrastructure to manage it is time consuming. If time is of the essence, and in the 3D printing industry time is very much in short supply, then partnering up with someone with like-minded goals is a pretty smart way to get ahead of the pack.
