To celebrate the new Athens Hub, 3D Hubs will be hosting an event on October 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to show off the capabilities of modern 3D printing. The event will feature live 3D printing demonstrations, a history of 3D Hubs presentation and plenty of fellow makers, designers and 3D printing enthusiasts to meet and network with. There will also be a guest speaker for the event, Sophia Georgiou from The Inventery will discuss their new iOS app called Morphi. The app allows users to create simple 3D designs using basic shapes, and can 3D print directly from your device.

The massive seven floor building houses meeting rooms, large seminar rooms, a fully stocked workshop and a large event space. Additionally the Cube currently hosts twenty tech startups, and dozens of individual makers who rent space.

3D Hubs has also planned several 3D printed surprises for the event attendees. If you’re going to be in Athens on October 18th then there are still spaces for the meetup available. Attendees must join the meetup ahead of time to ensure that the event will have enough space for everyone.
