EnvisionTEC releases P4K, an AI equipped DLP 3D Printer, Technical Specifications and Pricing

EnvisionTEC, a global 3D printer and materials manufacturer, has released P4K, a DLP 3D printer that employs a 4K projector and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Following its release, Al Silani, CEO of EnvisionTEC said, “The P4K is the highest resolution advanced DLP printer with the largest build envelope.”

“[It] deploys artificial intelligence in pixel modulation to deliver the highest accuracy parts with the smoothest available surface finish in the 3D printing space. This will deliver the next level of production-grade 3D printing solutions.”

The Perfactory series (short for “personal factory”) of 3D printers were launched in 2002 by envisionTEC. This series of high-resolution DLP printers are mostly used for precision applications, especially in the medical and jewelry industry. The Perfactory line also includes one of the largest DLP printers on the market, the Perfactory 4 LED XXL.

Now to the latest model in the series the Perfactory 4K, envisionTEC has added a 2560 x 1600 resolution projector with UV wavelength set to 385nm. Furthermore, the printer uses AI that makes adjustments to the UV light in order to give the best pixel result.

The P4K has no deep vat to hold the liquid resin, instead, it uses a shallow tray which is filled with the exact amount of resin required by the print model. This saves materials cost.

Currently, the P4K is available in three sizes:

– P4K 62 has a build area of 16 x 10 x 22 cm and provides 62 µm resolution

– P4K 75 provides 75µm resolution a 19 x 12 x 22 cm build size

– P4K 90 comes with a build platform of 23 x 14.15 x 22 cm and 90 µm resolution

All models support a large number of materials manufactured by EnvisionTEC, including E-denture, an FDA approved biocompatible material for dental applications, and E-OrthoShape, an ABS-like resin, used in the dental industry.
