3D SLASH has been improving its ease-of-use-focused 3D modeling app. The app has some features that will attract Minecrafters, and is well laid out. They reached out to 3DPI to introduce us to news of a new tablet feature and some partnerships that will amplify its presence in the industry. Their mission is to expand user collaboration, while bringing the level of difficulty to dizzying lows.
They’ve added WebGL features so you can go mobile, and added a multi-touch 3D SLASH experience. You can now use this kooky and game-like 3D modeler with 1-click synchronization. This means you can whack out a few cubes at home, bring it to a makerspace to show it off or introduce it to others, and continue at your workstation, without losing your designs. Good for those who are inspired and bound by travel.
The 3D SLASH community will also benefit from two exciting new partnerships. If you’re in this community, you are getting an upgrade. Making, publishing and sharing 3D designs will benefit from:
1.) A Sketchfab export:
I personally love Sketchfab and I’m not alone. The 3D universal viewer allows you to instantly publish now onto Sketchfab’s well-designed community platform. You can, of course, embed the viewer on Facebook, now, as well from Sketchfab, so it’s easy to ping pong your work around text generation monsters of social media.
According to Alban Denoyel, CEO Sketchfab, “Pairing 3DSlash’s easy 3D modeling with Sketchfab’s global sharing makes it easier than ever for anyone to create and share 3D content. We look forward to seeing many more creative designs from this innovative app!”
2.) YouMagine integration :
Part of the YouMagine community? Now, you can take any 3D file on YouMagine and mess with it all day long on 3D Slash. Sylvain Huet, CEO of 3D SLASH said, “Our partnership makes sense as we’re both offering hands-on fun & efficient tools to get the public straight into this great 3D industry without any barriers. 3D modeling, publishing & sharing your 3D designs should always be as simple as this!”
