XYZprinting 3D Printers Hit Target

XYZprinting has quickly become one of the most selling consumer 3D printers on the market, with almost unbeatable price tags that bring the exciting technology of 3D printing to shoppers at prices they can afford. For that reason, it’s no surprise that the Taiwanese manufacturer has made its way into just about every online store that US consumers might visit: Amazon.com, SamsClub.com, Walmart.com, Staples.com, and, now, Target.com.

Today, XYZprinting announced that Target.com would be making all of its da Vinci 3D printers and filaments available for purchase. In addition to having access to the company’s online community, Artist Collection, XYZprinting provides a one-year free warranty for customers.  Other consumer-friendly features include an auto-loading filament system that alerts users when filament is running low, as well as the da Vinci Jr’s zero-calibration setup and fast-release extruder. Having reviewed the Jr. myself, I can attest to automatic calibration, but it doesn’t mean that using the printer isn’t without its hiccups.  And 3DPI’s Mark Lee has given his input on the da Vinci 1.0 AiO all-in-one 3D printer and scanner here.

Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting, said of their overall strategy and the latest Target.com deal,  “We’ve made a conscious effort this past year to expand accessibility to XYZprinting 3D printing products by working with key online retailers like Target.com. XYZprinting is excited to offer Target.com’s broad and young consumer audience with the tools to experience the open-ended possibilities of 3D printing.”

The timing, in this case, is perfect for XYZprinting as the holidays approach.  And, because these will be sold online, there’s no need to deal with the Black Friday traffic after Thanksgiving.
