E-Commerce Specialist at XYZprinting

Based in Lake Forest, USA, XYZprinting is a 3D printer manufacturer which its portfolio includes DLP, SLA and FFF printers. Presently, the company is seeking an E-Commerce Specialist. 

The position involves managing XYZprinting’s online retailer accounts, such as BestBuy, Walmart and Target and market place stores on Amazon and eBay. The successful candidate will also process orders, support online customers and route customer queries. In addition to assisting with product data feeds, the individual will also provide analytics on the effectiveness of all digital marketing and e-commerce activities. The role also consists of maintaining promotional materials inventory and creating marketing plans. 

The company is looking for an analytical multitasker with excellent project and time management skills. The individual should have a minimum of one-year relevant experience on Amazon vendor or seller center. 2-3 years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite is required. In addition to being detail-oriented and highly organized, the candidate should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Furthermore, the applicant should demonstrate superior skills and resourcefulness in online research. Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms is a plus.

Project Manager at Kodama Technologies

Headquartered in Berlin, Kodama Technologies is the manufacturer of the Trinus and Obsidian 3D printers. The company is now looking for a Project Manager with a passion for 3D printing.

The project manager will handle multiple projects, including leading Kodama’s staff and operations, setting data-based budgets and deadlines. The successful candidate will work independently as the CEO’s right hand to manage human and financial resources, put processes in place. The role also involves guiding the company and ensuring smooth and on-time operations.

The applicant should have worked in a similar managerial role. A degree in an engineering field or business/project management is ideal but not required. The individual should be able to manage and empower a multicultural team of engineers. While project management experience is a must, the company prefers an applicant with a PMP certification or Prince2. The candidate should speak fluent English and preferably German and Mandarin as well. Experience working with China manufacturing is a big plus.

Additive Manufacturing Engineering Specialist at Eaton Aerospace Polymer 

Based in Southfield, USA, Eaton is a power management company that designs and manufactures aerospace products.  To manage Eaton’s growing polymer additive manufacturing portfolio, the group is seeking a Polymer Additive Manufacturing Engineering Specialist for its Aerospace division. The position will be based in Southfield, MI; Jackson, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Euclid, OH; OR Eaton’s Beltsville, MD facility.

The role involves working with the global Aerospace engineering team and Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Southfield Michigan and customers to identify and develop new opportunities and strategies for polymer AM. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying and developing specific polymer additive manufacturing opportunities in the Aerospace Business. The role will work closely with the Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Commercial teams.  The individual must have a strong and innovative engineering acumen with the technical aptitude to fully leverage the capabilities of additive manufacturing to identify novel solutions, including metal to polymer conversions. The role will support the development of these opportunities serving as both the Senior Applications Engineer and PreLaunch Program Manager. 

The ideal candidate should be a USA citizen with a Bachelor’s degree in Material Science or Engineering from an accredited institution. An advanced degree in material science, engineering, or business (with an engineering background) is desired but not required. On top of 3+ years of product development experience, the candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of additive manufacturing experience. The applicant have to demonstrate project management skills, an ability to invent creative solutions and develop and execute development plans. Experience in aerospace new product development or managing a cross-functional technical team is a plus.

New leadership for 3D Hubs, Senvol, MTA and 3D Systems

To head its American operations, automated manufacturing platform 3D Hubs has recruited Robert Schouwenburg, former Shapeways COO and CTO, as its USA Managing Director. “I’m thrilled to have Robert leading our US business,” commented Bram de Zwart, CEO and co-founder of 3D Hubs. “He’s built an incredible track record in the manufacturing and hardware space and, with his extensive background in scaling companies, I’m confident that we will continue to grow 150% annually.” Expanding 3D Hub’s operations in USA, Schouwenburg’s first priority will be to enhance the company’s CNC machining services.

Senvol’s President Zach Simkin has been elected to serve as Chairman for SME‘s Additive Manufacturing (AM) Community. The role of SME’s AM Community Advisors is to provide timely and expert guidance to SME on AM activities, initiatives, and content to best serve the AM community. The AM Advisors also serve as “faces of the industry” for SME, representing various stakeholders within the technical community. Community Advisors are chosen based on a combination of active industry contributions, reputation and personal commitment to expand the use of AM. Simkin is currently in the third year of a three-year term as an Advisor, and previously served as Vice Chair before being elected Chairman.

UK’s Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) has announced the appointment of Andrew Hodgson at Siemens as Vice President of the Association. In Siemens, Andrew is the Strategic Lead for Digitalisation which incorporates Siemens’ activities in technologies, such as additive manufacturing and robotics. A member of the MTA Board for a number of years, Andrew also chairs MTA’s Technical Committee, which studies developments in advanced manufacturing.

Leading 3D printer OEM 3D Systems appoints Todd Booth as EVP and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 3. Previously the CFO at Teledyne Marine, Booth will be replacing John McMullen who announced his planned retirement earlier this year. Booth will report to President and CEO Vyomesh Joshi and lead the company’s Finance, Strategy and Corporate Development operations. “Todd’s experience leading complex transformations and large-scale efficiency improvements will be invaluable as we seize the opportunity ahead of us,” said Vyomesh Josh, President, and CEO of 3D Systems.
