Although its stocks have been hurting since the record high hit last December, ExOne is leveraging on its affordable and fast 3D printing technology to continue its expansion and growth.
The ExOne process is among the most affordable for metals and the company – that already has four branches in the US, one office in Germany and one in Japan (with another about to open in Italy) – now wants to push its adoption in Eastern Europe by appointing Czech Republic-based METOS vos as its Independent Sales Representative in Eastern European Countries.
METOS vos, a company founded in 1990 and specializing in foundry, industrial and mechanical engineering, will be offering ExOne’s entire machine line up (which includes the S-Max, S-Print, M-Print M-Flex and X1-Lab systems) as well as 3D printing services throughout ExOne’s systems to customers in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.
“One of our principal goals is to expand our business on a global level, while still maintaining a close, localized connection with our customers,” explained Dr. Stefan Tudyka, Head of Sales for ExOne GmbH. “We believe our relationship with METOS embodies that philosophy and allows ExOne to have a strong connection in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, which is why we are confident in establishing a long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationship with METOS.”
The ExOne proprietary 3D printing process is not a “one shot” deal, using binders to make 3D printed “green” objects that can later be sintered in an oven. This allows the company to make objects in metal and sand, as well as – the only large 3D printer manufacturer to do so – in glass.
