Airwolf 3D Adds Lower Cost Option to Line of HD 3D Printers

Costa Mesa-based Airwolf 3D has released yet another low-cost 3D printer, further extending its line of desktop fabricators.  The new AW3D HDL is meant to offer similar quality to its other machines, but without the same frills, reducing the price and increasing the simplicity.

Despite its stripped down features, the company’s founder, Erick Wolf, suggests that it is not an entry level machine, “The AW3D HDL is not a toy for hobbyists. It’s a serious professional 3D printer built in response to customers asking for a high-quality unit at an aggressive price point. The only difference between it and our most advanced 3D printer is the absence of technically advanced features, which can easily be added as needs and budgets dictate.”

Airwolf 3D president, Mark Matthews, adds, “The HDL continues our commitment to providing a wide selection of 3D printing solutions. The HDL now effectively complements the HD, HDx and HD2x models which top out at $3,995.00 and serve to provide our growing reseller channel with the broadest product line in our space.”

In addition to the more affordable machine, the firm plans to offer lesson plans to accompany it on their website, perhaps further suiting their 3D printers for classroom use.

Though the HDL is currently available for purchase, it will make its official debut at the 3D Printer World Expo in Seattle later this month.
