Cults Recruits 3D Hubs for 3D Print Button Integration

3D Hubs has wiggled its way into a number of 3D printing related platforms ever since this year kicked off, with their Teleport API implemented in Sketchfab, Instructables, Thingiverse, 3DPrinterOS, and more.  The release of Teleport to the public opened up the 3D Hubs 3D print button to even more sites and, today, the largest network of distributed 3D printers has been added to French 3D printing marketplace Cults.

Cults says of the 3D Hubs integration, “Cults is happy to announce this new partnership with 3D Hubs. Our desire has always been to offer the best services to our users. Therefore, it seemed natural to choose a company as innovative and dynamic as 3D Hubs. We were very quickly seduced by the technical ease-of-use of their API, it was perfect for what we intended to do. The benefit to our community is important because it is a complementary service to our business.”

Now, Cults users can either download 3D models for home printing or purchase models for printing through the 3D printer closest to them via 3D Hubs.  Exciting news for 3D Hubs, Cults, and distributed manufacturing as a whole, as we reach closer to a day when goods can be manufactured locally, on demand, rather than in factories abroad.
