3D Artist Turns to Kickstarter to Fund Production of his Blossoms Pendant Designs with Metal 3D Printing

Artist Matthew Amey works in various mediums, including oil painting, sculpting, tattoos, and, in the last few years, 3D sculpting and 3D printing. His latest series is a collection of eight stunning flower pendants that he calls Blossoms and he’s using Kickstarter to fund their production — in metal, using 3D printing technology.

On his Etsy store, Amey often sells his 3D printed creations and he is looking to add his collection of Blossom pendants. However, before he can do that he needs to get them 3D printed so he can take the high quality photographs that he needs to sell them properly. He is only asking for $800.00 so there is a strong likelihood that he will be funded. By supporting the Kickstarter you can buy one or you can even buy all of the Blossom pendants at greatly discounted prices.

Take a look at the Kickstarter video about his project here:

Amey is looking to produce Blossoms in stainless steel and in sterling silver. If his campaign is successful he will be able to have all eight Blossoms printed, sent to him to photograph, and then he will ship them directly to the backers. The stainless steel options will set you back between $50 to $75 dollars each and the sterling silver options will be between $120 to $220 each. He is estimating that he will be able to deliver your rewards by October of 2014. Here are high-resolution images of all of his beautiful designs.
