3D Printing Industry recently reported on the story of XYZ Printing teaming up with FabLab in San Diego to try to boost 1:1 3D printing education for the general public. Now, it seems that the New Kinpo Group 3D printing subsidiary will also be involved in a project offering 3D printers to each of China’s 400,000-plus primary schools.
CEO of Kinpo Group, Simon Shen, confirmed his company’s involvement in the initiative to educate Chinese children on 3D printing and additive manufacturing technology. China, the leading manufacturing nation in the world, certainly has good reason to introduce the technology of the future to the leaders of tomorrow.
While more details of who else is involved in the massive 3D printer purchasing deal are yet to come, Shen stated that XYZ Printing will be one, if not the largest, supplier and that the deal will “be [their] growth driver of the third quarter and fourth quarters.” Hopefully, other countries will follow China’s and champion more in-depth 3D printing education.
