Riton Biomaterials Orthodontal 3D Printing Products

Riton Biomaterial Co., Ltd., China is a manufacturer that specialises in the development, production and marketing of orthodontic biomaterials and related dental equipment. The company offers the customised lingual bracket system in specifications such as eBrace Visual and eBrace second generation. The eLock customised self-ligating lingual bracket system is also available. The company crafts its products using the additive manufacturing (3D printing) methods SLM (Selective Laser Melting) and DLP (Digital Light Projecting).

The company’s eBrace customised lingual bracket is an “invisible” appliance because it is stuck to the inner side of the teeth where is it difficult to see. The bracket is devised in line with the contour of patients’ teeth by using CAD and CAM technologies. Additive manufacturing allows a high degree of personalisation of the wire arc, which optimises the users occlusion. The eBrace manufacturing process begins by a taking an impression of double-layer silicone. The casts produced from this impression are used to prepare an individualised optimal setup. The mesh pad of the eBrace customised lingual bracket base is specially treated to drastically improve the tensile bond strength of the bracket.

The company also provides orthodontists with the supporting tools for the lingual bracket system, namely related accessories — clinical guidance and training courses are also available and the company has published numerous articles in industry-related technical journals.
