D3D's New RUGGED-HPX 3D Printer Extruder Line

The D3D team is returning to crowd funding platform Kickstarter with a strong re-engineered extruder line enhanced by the feedback from their former funding campaign. The team cite that their research from supporters and industry peers produced a primary proforma that can be summed up as “rugged reliability” to tackle existing technical faults such as occasional filament grip issues, overheating stepper motors, loss of print quality or speed, malfunctioning hot ends and more.

All direct stepper motors come supplied with a universal mount. D3D use local and national suppliers aiming to keep their manufacturing line in the USA, mainly in Central Minnesota, with the exception that their primary source for Stepper Motors is an overseas supplier. The initial production batches will be delivered in May for the Early Bird supporters and the rest will be assembled and shipped in June. D3D say that if they find that orders exceed their production / shipping capacity, they will issue new reward levels for product delivery in July.
