2nd Annual Additive Aerospace Event Will be Sponsored By Sciaky

Sciaky, Inc., a provider of Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) machines and a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI) has announced its sponsorship of the second annual Additive Aerospace Summit. The event, which will take place in Los Angeles, CA, is billed as the only executive conference dedicated to additive manufacturing for the aerospace industry. The summit includes sessions on: technical challenges; the adoption process; standards and qualifications; and growth strategies for companies to remain competitive with additive manufacturing / 3D printing for the aerospace sector.

The summit will feature Executive speakers from Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon and GKN Aerospace.

Sciaky has achieved a number of metal 3D printing / additive manufacturing advances in the aerospace and defense industries thanks to the company’s proprietary EBAM technology, which allows manufacturers to save significant time and costs on the production of prototypes and large-scale parts. The additive manufacturing method can produce parts up to some 19 feet (5.79m) in length, and can be made of virtually any metal. Mike Riesen, general manager of Sciaky, Inc. said: Sciaky is proud to sponsor and chair the 2014 Additive Aerospace Summit. Additive manufacturing and 3D printing is going to play a major role in the aerospace industry for the foreseeable future, and Sciaky is firmly committed to further EBAM innovation.”

The 2014 Additive Aerospace Summit takes place November 3-6 at the Downtown in Los Angeles. You can find more about the event here.
