Sciaky, Inc., a provider of Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) machines and a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI) has announced its sponsorship of the second annual Additive Aerospace Summit. The event, which will take place in Los Angeles, CA, is billed as the only executive conference dedicated to additive manufacturing for the aerospace industry. The summit includes sessions on: technical challenges; the adoption process; standards and qualifications; and growth strategies for companies to remain competitive with additive manufacturing / 3D printing for the aerospace sector.
Sciaky has achieved a number of metal 3D printing / additive manufacturing advances in the aerospace and defense industries thanks to the company’s proprietary EBAM technology, which allows manufacturers to save significant time and costs on the production of prototypes and large-scale parts. The additive manufacturing method can produce parts up to some 19 feet (5.79m) in length, and can be made of virtually any metal.
