I bet that you didn’t know that 3D Systems CEO Avi Reichental also serves as a faculty member of Singularity University. Or maybe you did; in which case, good for you! Singularity U is a benefit corporation, Newspeak for a company that considers society and the environment as more than an “externality” in seeking profits, that hopes to “educate, inspire and empower leaders to apply exponential technologies to address humanity’s grand challenges.” Founded by famous futurist and advocate of the Singularity, Ray Kurzweil, Singularity U more or less thinks that we can use technology to solve the world’s problems. So, to share with you a brief introduction on 3D printing, followed by an hour-long lecture, is the faculty co-chair of the Additive Manufacturing Program at Singularity University, Avi Reichental:
