2015 European Additives & Colors Conference Emphasizes 3D Printing Materials

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Additives & Color Europe (ACE) division has announced its forthcoming ninth biennial European Additives & Colors Conference. The SPE is the largest, most well-known plastics professional society in the world, extant for more than seventy years with nearly 14,000 plastics professionals members around the globe. This high profile conference is to focus upon new developments in plastic materials additives, pigments, dyes, and masterbatches with some emphasis placed on the emerging significance of 3D printing. Filament is still the dominant material format for extrusion 3D printing, but masterbatches are likely to catch up in the next few years.

The conference presentations will focus on achieving a better understanding of the expectations of Original Equipment Manufacturers regarding additives and colorants alongside presenting the latest in product innovation and address the fast-developing trends relating to additives and colorants in 3D printing, smart plastics, “cool” colors and nanotechnology.

The ninth biennial European Additives & Colors Conference will open with an introductory seminar exploring the basics of color technology in plastics. The event will feature a range of exhibits by a broad range of industry suppliers, a wealth of technical presentations and many networking opportunities.

Taking place between February 23rd to 25th, 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, further information on the conference is available at the SPE’s website here.
