UNIZ launches the SLASH 2 PLUS 3D printer

3D printer manufacturer UNIZ has announced the launch of its new resin-based LCD 3D printer, the SLASH 2 PLUS.

Based on the company’s previously released SLASH 2, the SLASH 2 PLUS is a high-speed professional-grade system primarily designed for dental applications. Featuring an 8.9” 4K monochrome LCD with UNIZ’s patented LED array light engine, the SLASH 2 PLUS boasts a UV light intensity twice that of the original SLASH 2, delivering impressive print speeds of up to 250mm/hr.

High-speed dental production with SLASH 2 PLUS

The SLASH 2 PLUS is armed with UNIZ’s proprietary next-generation liquid cooling system, which results in improved heat dissipation for over 5000 hours of stable printing time. By offering double the light intensity of the original SLASH 2, the company is providing its customers with a print speed higher than most comparable resin-based 3D printers, as well as guaranteed compatibility with most commercially-available dental resins.

With a respectable build volume measuring 192 x 120 x 200mm, SLASH 2 PLUS users will be able to 3D print a full build of 26 Aligner models in 53 minutes. The system also features both Wi-Fi and ethernet connectivity, and houses a 4.3” full color touchscreen on the front for user-friendly operation.

UNIZ: professional resin-based 3D printing

Based in sunny San Diego, UNIZ has built a name for itself with its proprietary LCD 3D printing technology. With over 40 patents under its belt, the company is a specialist in high-speed resin systems. According to the UNIZ team, every new product is developed with the company’s central mission in mind, and that is to help consumers and professionals far and wide bring their ideas to life, whether they be doctors, dentists, engineers, or just hobbyists.

The company’s product portfolio is an extensive one, and includes the IBEE and SLASH 2 PRO 3D printers. It’s worth noting that UNIZ is also currently working on another new upcoming system, which is set to make its debut in the coming weeks. Additionally, the company develops its own specialist 3D printing resins, with options for jewellery, dentistry, and even functional engineering parts.
