The ‘Made in 3D’ design challenge, which was a collaboration between Dassault Systèmes and 3D printing service providers, Sculpteo, closed for entries on 3rd March. Scultpteo has just announced the winners and here they are for your delectation:
In first place: Aude Massoni with her Physalis Jewellery
First runner up: Petar KOSTOV with his Butterfly-inspired Ear Cuffs
Second runner up: Beru ICHIKAWA with his anti-mosquito lamp.
The competition was hosted on the 3DVIA community website, where members could vote for their favourite designs.
For anyone that’s interested, my favourite is the ring (shock, horror!) and I am loving the functional beauty of the mosquito lamp (hateful things, mosquitoes) – I really do like the butterflies too, but ear cuffs baffle me, I mean, why??
Sculpteo is currently processing the prizes and preparing to 3D print the winning designs – be great to see them when they’re ready!
