TAZ 3 3D Printer: Good Enough To Get You in Spin?

At the end of last month, Aleph Objects reduced the price of its TAZ 2 3D printer as a Black Friday deal. At the time, we speculated here at 3DPI if this was ahead of a new model release. It seems so!

The TAZ 3 is Aleph Objects’s new top-of-the-line machine. Pitched as Lulzbot’s, highest quality printer to date TAZ 3 has been developed for inventors, entrepreneurs, design engineers and prototypers and can print with ABS, PLA, PVA, high-impact polystyrene and wood filament. With add-ons, it can print with nylon and more.

The TAZ 3 is designed to require minimal maintenance with a market intention of facilitating users to advance productivity and reduce costs. Printing fine layers at speeds faster than most of the competition, it is pitched for small manufacturing and comes with self-lubricating bushings. Aleph suggests that this 3D printer is also the quietest printer on the market.

The TAZ 3 now comes with a graphic LCD controller for printing directly from an SD card. Users can now print without a connected computer. The graphic LCD controller has the ability to perform print start up, print selection and configuration changes.
