Roundtable's Steampunk-Inspired 3D Printed Dice

Roundtable Productions, a Florida-based concept and design agency specializing in applications for the entertainment industry, has started offering a unique Steampunk-themed 3D printed die for sale on their site.

Instead of traditional dots or other conventional indicators, the value of the die’s side is marked with a respective number of miniature (immobile) gears. In the spirit of Steampunk, the dice are hand painted to capture the authentic feeling with a bronze finish. The size of the die is 1” x 1” x 1”, which is 2.5cm per side. If this is something you yourself yearn for or you want to give it to that special Steampunk-aficionado in your life, $11.50 is the magic figure to purchase this cool piece of work.

These bronze-painted gear dice are not the first manifestation resulting from the company’s adventures within the 3DP world – they have been aboard the 3D printing train since 2009, operating a Zcorp 310 3D printer. One of Roundtable’s earlier examples of using 3DP can be seen below – a Romulan Disruptor Pistol, printed for a friend to be used at a Scifi-convention.
