New B9Creations Core 3D printer 4 times faster than average

SLA 3D printer manufacturers B9Creations, from Rapid City, South Dakota, has released the new high-resolution B9 Core Series of DLP printers.

Capable of 3D printing at speeds up 100+ mm/hour, the B9 Core Series can produce hundreds of models, for example resin rings for jewelry casting, in a typical 8 – 10 hour work day.

In addition to jewelry making, the resin DLP technology also holds exciting possibilities for researchers, hobbyists and artists.

DLP was used to produce the molds for University of California’s LEGO bricks to promote microfluidic research. Vat polymerisation was also one of the highlights of the UK’s dedicated 3D printing exhibition The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful.

A record of excellence

The B9 Core series have a great sleek design, capable of fitting into limited workspaces. In total the 530 and 550 measure just 597 x 419 x 267mm.

B9Creations founder and CTO Mike Joyce, a former US Air Force pilot, comments on the release:

The look is new and the company has grown, our passion remains the same – making high-resolution 3D printing technology work for your business

In 2016, the B9Creations’ existing B9 Creator was rated 3D Hubs’ best of resin 3D printers, with an average rating of 8.1/10. Both B9 Core models, the 530 and 550, improve upon the usability, connectivity, and material costs of this original model.

B9Creations CEO Shon Anderson reveals how the final specifications are the result of listening to makers. He says,

Thousands of businesses told us they felt stuck choosing between low-cost technology that was slow and labor intensive or easier to use technology that cost a fortune to own and operate

Adding that:

Their feedback motivated us to create the new B9 Core Series, offering a combination of resolution, speed, and first-class user experience, never-before found at this price.

For anyone looking to buy one of the new B9 Core Series, both models are currently retailing at $9,955.
