iMakr.VC and Think3D Partner to Discover and Fund new 3D Printing Start-ups in India

iMakr has its sights set on the Indian 3D printing industry and is teaming up with India’s largest 3D printing store Think3D to help them find new businesses to invest in.

Investment group iMakr.VC already funds several successful 3D printing businesses, including mini-you.co.uk, MyMiniFactory.com and of course the iMakr 3D printing stores in London and New York together with their companion website iMakr.com. They’re looking to find their next 3D printing success story by teaming with Think3D to launch a seed fund for 3D printing start-ups in India.

The new partnership called Think3D.VC will be offering their selected start-ups capital investments, free access to 3D printing and scanning equipment, mentors and experts in several fields related and parallel to 3D printing and of course a large pool of other start-ups and 3D printing enthusiasts for support.

Think3D will be in charge of locating the potential new start-ups and deciding which of the dedicated investment programs they will be entered into. There are three tailored programs for potential start-ups, each depending on the type of project, potential applications and amount of development time required.

The Incubator program is for people with a viable idea or project who lack a complete business plan and a development team. And the Accelerator program is for complete start-ups who have a project, business plan and a team in place but need further financial and logistical support in order to proceed to the next stage of development. The work will all be done at the iMakr.VC campus in central London.

By accepting their seed money, start-ups are granting iMakr a stake in their business so any support that they receive from them will not cost participants anything.
