Fuel3D Makes its 3D Scanning Solutions Easily Available on Both Sides of the Atlantic

Fuel3D, which develops accessible and affordable 3D scanning solutions, has just announced two distribution agreements that will see the company’s 3D scanner reach a much broader audience on both sides of the Atlantic.

For the first deal, Fuel3D has signed a distribution agreement with European based 3D printer company Ultimaker. Under this agreement the Fuel3D scanner will be offered as part of a bundle deal that includes the Ultimaker 2 3D printer to customers in the United Kingdom. The agreement will furthermore see both companies offering the bundle deal to customers via their websites and through both companies’ direct sales teams in the UK. The bundle will be available from next month.

According to Stuart Mead, CEO of UK-based Fuel3D Technologies: “We want to transform people’s ability to create original content with their 3D printers and to do that we need to work with industry leaders like Ultimaker. This partnership with Ultimaker in the UK is a perfect tie-in for us and we are looking forward to working with them to bring the benefits of the Fuel3D scanner to 3D printing enthusiasts across the country.”

Ultimaker is similarly pleased with the agreement and hints at further expansion room for the deal. Alex Mayor, a Director for Ultimaker commented: “We are very excited about the possibilities for the generation of 3D content offered by Fuel3D’s scanner and are excited to be working with them. While the UK is the first market that we will be targeting this offer with, there is the potential to introduce it into additional territories over time.”

In a further move, Fuel3D has also taken steps to address the US market and announced that it has partnered with WYNIT Distribution, LLC. As a result, WYNIT will distribute Fuel3D’s scanner systems in strategic territories throughout the US and Canada, boosting the company’s reseller channel, sales, customer relationships and business logistics across the region.

As a leading national distributor for a wide range of consumer electronics, WYNIT serves a broad customer base that ranges from large national retailers to independent resellers through dedicated business units and strategically located distribution facilities.

Leveraging the explosive growth of 3D printing worldwide, WYNIT is aggressively building a comprehensive portfolio of products that include the most innovative and consumer-friendly 3D technologies, which is why Geoffrey Lewis, president and CEO of WYNIT thinks Fuel3D is a good fit. He said: “Fuel3D is a perfect complement to our growing 3D portfolio. The growth in 3D printing is driving demand for new ways to generate original content and Fuel3D is well-positioned to capitalize on that opportunity.”

Since making waves last year with its crowdfunding campaign, Fuel3D has been attracting interest from a range of businesses, resellers and distributors across the world, and it only looks set to continue.
