Disrupting Design with Fab

Fab is calling for all emerging or student designers to disrupt the industry – in a mission to make everyone’s dreams come true! During the ‘Salone Internazionale del Mobile’ event in Milan they are setting up a shop, where a friendly competition will take place. Designers are invited to bring their product ideas, portfolios and prototypes to be judged on the spot on April 10th.

The judges offer strong representation across design disciplines and include:

Ambra Medda, Founder, Ambra Medda Office.
Tom Dixon, Designer, Founder of Tom Dixon.
Yves Béhar, Designer and Founder, Fuse Project, and Chief Creative Officer, Jawbone.
Amanda Dameron, Editor in Chief, Dwell Magazine.
Michael Hermann, Director of Licensing, The Andy Warhol Foundation.
Birgit Lohmann, Editor in Chief, designboom.com

Fab calls for designersThe judges will select the best three designs, which will then be made available for 12 million Fab members to purchase. The criteria for the designs is that they should be of high quality and be a functional object made through handcrafted, high-tech, and/or experimental processes.
