Clotoo, a new French start-up introduces the Clotto-L, a 3D Printer with a twist

Clotoo is a start-up based in Grenoble,founded in the summer 2015 by Romain Cloitre and Remy Oliel. Remy is an architect and Romain a seasoned entrepreneur.

 

They are building a network of the Clotoo-L 3D Printer to pool production and help manufacturing small series of products. The business model paves the way for 3D Manufacturing in small quantities, from 2 to 1000 pieces.

Clotoo brings together companies, independent designers and makers. The founder’s vision is to create the first collaborative production network of 3D Printable objects. Their dream is to help small and medium sizes companies manufacture easier and faster their products.

 

The Clotoo-L 3D Printer uses ABS. It has a enclosure and can filter the toxic fumes

The Clotoo-L incorporates a labeling function that simplifies mailings.

 

The machine comes at the price of around $6,000 without tax.

 

Clotoo is a 3 pilar company: the Clotto-L 3D Printer, a network of connected machine and an online store where designers can access the network and sell their products. Clotoo is protecting the IP of their designers. The machine will be on display at the D’Days trade show in Paris and will set up a pop-up store from the 17th of May to the 5th of June 2016.
