.bijouets Nails 3D Printed Jewelry with Latest Collection

A venture by professional rapid prototyping service HSL, .bijouets was one of the very first companies in Italy, and globally, to implement professional 3D printing processes such as SLA and SLS to let designers experiment with new geometries and alternative products.

After enjoying a significant business growth and raising more than a few media eyebrows, .bijouts is an established company, launching new designs. The newest series, Tassel and Fogliolina, were presented at the recent Mason et Objet event in Paris, complementing a new 2015 collection, which also includes Fibbia, Piano & Tricot, Cameo & Araldico, Lucky, Gemma, Mondi, and Treccio e Spirale models. Also new for 2015 is the Cambiami line of 3D printed designer eyewear.

“I am very happy with the new collections because they fully exploit the possibilities offered by professional 3D printing, while maintaining the very characteristic style that has always distinguished .bijouets,” Stefania Favaro, marketing director at .bijouets, told me. “They are mainly reinterpretations of classical and neutral forms though a contemporary approach,” Stefania explained.

Currently, .bijouets works with seven designers: Selvaggi Armani, the designer that first launched the brand; Maria Jennifer Carew, Charlotte Juillard, Daniele Bortotto, and Federico Angi, who have been working with the company for little over one year. Filippo Mambretti and Ruben Camponogara are also part of the team.

“Designers choose to work with us because they appreciate the quality of our production capabilities, due to years of experience with additive manufacturing processes through our mother company HSL,” Stefania pointed out. “These capabilities let designers create and modify an object almost in real time, thus doing away with the limiting barriers of traditional molding technology.”

Comparing these new collections to the first .bijouets launched, it is clear how fast their designs are evolving, and with constant new injections of creativity they are just going to keep getting better.
