A small team of engineers from Hungary, led by Armin Fendrik and Balazs Csemany, will launch an IndieGogo campaign on the 19th of April. They will offer the AVOC 3D,a super cheap and fast 3D Printer. The machine will be offered at USD139 to the backers. The 3D Printer will be shipped fully assembled.
The team is no stranger to 3D Printing. They are the founders of the Krak3n 3D, a unique, user-friendly, modular 3D printer. They started the AVOC 3D first under the project name CARP 3D.
What Armin is trying to bring to the market is a very cheap 3D Printer that can print at up to 100mm/s. Higher speed could be achieved in theory but considering how light is the Polycarbonate framed AVOC 3D Printer, faster printing could create issues.
The main characteristics for the AVOC 3D Printer are:
- Enclosed build chamber,
- Build volume of 150mm x 150mm x 150mm,
- Non proprietary 1.75mm filament (PLA and ABS),
- Print speed up to 100mm/s,
- Polycarbonate frame,
- Super light bowden extruder assembly.
We wish them a great success!
EDIT: live now, but don’t be late: only 50 units at $139 (32 as we write this), then it’ll be $159 for the 100 next, then $179 for the 200 next before reaching $199 for all (up to 2,000 units)
