It was just last week that MecklerMedia announced its liquidation and, today, a new events company, Rising Media, Inc., has put out a release saying that it will recover some of the assets. Rising Media has acquired the Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo, New York and San Diego and RoboUniverse Conference & Expo, New York and San Diego, allowing some of the larger events to continue on.
Rising Media is in the business of producing a number of tech and internet-related events geared towards business professionals. As Rising Media already produces the Inside 3D Printing events in Germany, they were primed to purchase the New York and San Diego shows, along with the RoboUniverse series in New York and San Diego. Both shows are set to occur April 10-12 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York, while the San Diego event has already passed this December. Luckily, some of the MecklerMedia staff associated with the production of these events will be joining Rising Media, as well.
