3D Stuffmaker Introduces New Range of 4 DIY 3D Printers

Australia based iPrint and its 3D Stuffmaker brand of DIY 3D printer kits have always been focused on offering the best do-it-yourself experience because, as the company tagline goes, they understand the need to build it by yourself as that’s exactly how they got started. The feeling is probably shared by makers and RepRap fans around the world, who will be happy to know that the company has upgraded its entire range of DIY 3D printers, which includes four models that cater to different uses.

All the Gen 2 kits from 3D Stuffmaker are fitted with a 1.75 mm direct feed high performance filament extruder and offer a number of new features. These include the new Quick Change Nozzles being fitted with a 3D Cooling Kit, a new heavy duty print plate, improved wiring connection and timing belt assembly. All printers also come with EasyPrint “plug&print” software, 1 month free Skype support and access to stuffshare.com, the company’s online database of 3D printing files.

3D Stuffmaker founder Rob Grosche describes the new system upgrades as “a unique addition to the world of 3D printing”. “They have been specifically designed for people who want to build their own printer and learn about 3D printing from the ground up,” he said.

All the kits are competitively priced, starting from the basic Prusa Gen 2 kit with 4.4 litre build volume retailing at $445. The much larger Mega Prusa Gen Kit, with a build volume up to 7 litres, retails for $595, while 3D Stuffmaker’s most portable model is the $695 Creator Gen2 Kit, which has a build volume of 1.5 liters and is combined with a sleek acrylic finish that makes it both more portable and a better fit for home and office use
