3D Printing

Adobe Art Exhibit will Turn London into a 3DP Creativity Wonderland for a Few Days

Pussykrew-body-double 3d printing industryThe upcoming 3D Printshow in London will have many interesting themes to explore, although that of artistic expression through 3D printing will be a prevalent one, curating some of the works that I have had the fortune to admire and cover during the past year.  These include Pussykrew’s Materia and Modla’s collaboration with Jon Fidler, along with Joshua Harker’s 21st Century Portrait and other successful works. Some of the other projects that I did not cover directly are certainly no less impressive.

The Adobe sponsored Art Collection will show a global exclusive of some amazing works of 3D printed art — to effectively demonstrate what can be achieved through the newest 3D printing technologies on the artistic front.

The Adobe Art Collection will include more full color works, and some are truly mind boggling. What is particualry fascinating is that each one of the artists who will exhibit their work comes from a very different background.

Sophie Kahn (Prodromes) is actually a professional artist and her expertise lies in blending new technologies such as laser scanning and 3D printing with traditional crafts such as ancient bronze casting techniques.
