Eaton Corporation seeks Additive Manufacturing Engineers in the U.S.

The aerospace branch of multinational power management company Eaton Corporation is hiring two new additive manufacturing engineers in locations across America.

One vacancy in Los Angeles, CA, is for an Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer responsible for developing new and existing fluid power and motion control system components. In to providing onsite training to Eaton staff and lead technical design projects, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with ASTM International’s Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AMCOE) seeking new potential additive manufacturing applications.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university is essential for application, as well as 5 years design experience, and at least 1 year working with additive manufacturing. Candidates with Enovia PLM experience, working knowledge of the aerospace industry, and the ability to conduct topology optimization and finite element analysis will have the edge over others.

In the second role from Eaton, an Aerospace Polymer Additive Manufacturing Engineering Specialist is required to develop a 3D printing strategy for the polymers division. Again working closely with AMCOE, this position is available to people living in California, Michigan, Mississippi, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, Connecticut or Maryland.

A minimum of 3 years product development experience and 2 years additive manufacturing experience is required, and advanced degree in polymer material science is preferred.

Additive Manufacturing Researcher, Solvay, Georgia

The Solvay Specialty Polymers business required an Additive Manufacturing Researcher local to Alpharetta, Georgia. Working closely with Research & Innovation and Customer Technical Development (DTC) departments, this specialist will support the creation of new polymers, and be responsible for experimentation, sampling and benchmarking.

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science or another related field and 2-3 years of experience in a technical position.

Mechatronics/Electrical Engineer, Kodama Technologies GmbH, Berlin & Shenzhen

FFF 3D printer provider Kodama Technologies GmbH has Mechatronics/Electrical Engineer positions open at its sites in Berlin, Germany and Shenzhen in China.

Experience within FFF 3D printing is essential to the role, as is a working knowledge of sensors, PCBS and Arduino boards, and know-how of Marlin firmware.

Channel Sales Manager France – Digital Dentistry, Formlabs, Berlin

Reinforcing is efforts in dental, SLA and SLS 3D printer OEM Formlabs is seeking Channel Sales Manager for Digital Dentistry. Ideally based in Berlin, this manager is responsible for sales in France and, as such, must be fluent in both French and English languages.

The position is ideal for someone who is looking travel with their job, and tackles problems in a creative, and solution oriented manner. 2 – 5 years sales experience is required, and a history including a position as a Dental Technician is highly desirable.

Recent hires at Norsk Titanium, CollPlant, Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing, Canada Makes

Our jobs update wouldn’t be complete without a rundown of all the most recent hires at companies across the industry.

Stephen L. Littauer, an experienced Vice President of Finance at a variety of companies including GE Aviation, Eaton Corporation and AIP Aerospace, has become the Chief Financial Officer of Rapid Plasma Deposition (RPD) company Norsk Titanium.

Commenting on his appointment to the role, Littauer said, “One of the factors that drew me to Norsk is the quality of the team that has been assembled,”

“I am pleased to join a company who is positioned to address the needs of lower costs and shorter lead times facing the aerospace supply chain today.”

In Israel, regenerative medicine and biomaterial company CollPlant has appointed a new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Jonathan M.N. Rigby, who has served on the board of pharmaceutical company SteadyMed Ltd since 2011, succeeds David Tsur in this position.

Yehiel Tal, CEO of CollPlant, comments, “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan as Chairman of our Board at this pivotal time for CollPlant.”

The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) in Virginia, has made Richard P. Martukanitz its Additive Manufacturing CCAM Fellow. Martukanitz was previously head of the additive and laser manufacturing division of the applied research laboratory at Penn State.

And Frank Defalco, Senior Program Manager at Canada Makes, has left his position to be succeeded by John Rodic and Christina Keating, who will provide coordination support.
