3D Printing

3D Systems is Offering 324 Complimentary Seminars Worldwide to Promote 3D Printing 2.0

If 2014 is going to be the year in which 3D printing becomes a truly commonplace manufacturing solution, part of the merit may be due to a massive free seminar program on 3D printing. Being deployed by 3D Systems, the company is calling on its global partners to actively promote and communicate the new possibilities made available by the 24 new industrial and consumer models presented between December 2013, at Euromold, and January 2014, at CES across a wide programme of seminars.

The company is referring to the new generation of its industrial and prosumer 3D printers as 3D Printing 2.0, a message with which it wants to reach new “key verticals”, through gains in speed, size and capacity of the new machines.

The main focus of the seminars, which will take place at 3D Systems’ local partners’ offices, mainly in North America and Europe (but also in Israel, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, South Africa, Russia, Taiwan and China), will be to show how 3D Systems’ new machines can accelerate design-to-manufacturing needs for virtually any type of industrial sector.

Overviews will include the latest developments in full colour plastic ColoJet 3D Printing (Projet 4500), MultiJet 3D Printing with multi-material composite production (Projet 5500X), a low cost jewellery and dental option (Projet 1200), the full range of sub-$5000 new prosumer 3D printers, as well as the ProX 950 large volume capabilities and the ProX 100, 200 and 300 industrial grade direct metal 3D printers.

Between March 22nd and July 24th there will be a total of 324 seminars and all will be free of charge for all participants. It would seem like a great occasion for anyone curious about 3D printing to find out more about what is coming straight from the people that are directly involved with it. In Italy one of 3D Systems distributors, 3DZ, is hosting a few events in the seven cities where it has its offices. I will be going to for the one in Brescia, near Milan, on April 18th and I will be sure to keep you posted on everything new I learn.
