Tiertime to Release New 3D Printer Soon

I’m easily confused, but, if I have this right, Beijing Tiertime Technology is the same as PP3DP, makers of the Up! series of 3D printers, the original of which is distributed by Afinia, under the H-Series brand. The reason I preface with my confusion is that Beijing Tiertime Technology has announced that it is releasing a consumer 3D printer at the end of this month. So, If Tiertime is the same as PP3DP, haven’t they already done that?

Beijing Tiertime Technology, which, before the Up! series, sold several office-friendly FDM/FFF 3D printers, will be attending the 3rd Digital Content Business Convention, part of the 3rd China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), on May 30. At the event, Tiertime will be unveiling their new “family version printer”. which is “the size of a coffeemaker” and will cost about 6,000 yuan (US$968). This is, more or less, how one would describe the Up! Mini 3D printer, about the size of a coffeemaker and costs $899. What will the new family version 3D printer be like that Tiertime shows off at the Chinese convention, which will feature such companies as Google, the CCTV Animation Channel, New Oriental and China Broadcast Corporation?

I’ve reached out to Tiertime and PP3DP to find out how the new printer may be different from or similar to the Up! Mini or other Up! 3D printers. Until I find out, we may just have to speculate.
