XJet 3D, an additive manufacturing systems provider specializing in metal and ceramic production using direct material jetting, has announced a partnership with Complete AM, an additive manufacturing service bureau and technical consultancy based in Schaumburg, Illinois. As part of the agreement, Complete AM will deploy an XJet Carmel 1400M metal system and serve as a full-service channel partner for XJet’s metal and ceramic solutions in North America.
The partnership assigns responsibility for system sales, customer support, and production services related to XJet equipment in the region to the Schaumburg-based organization. The Carmel 1400M will be installed at its facility and used for additive manufacturing bureau services as well as customer evaluation and application development. North American customers will access XJet equipment, service, and technical support through this partner.
Complete AM was co-founded by Rory Jackson and Charlie Christensen Phillips and brings more than 50 years of combined industry experience. The company employs mechanical and electronic engineers with backgrounds in machine manufacturing and equipment integration. Its activities include machine and component sales, consulting and project planning, service and repair, material development, and additive manufacturing bureau services.
Before installing the system, in-house capabilities covered multiple additive manufacturing technologies, including Fused Deposition Modeling, Stereolithography, Digital Light Processing, LCD-based photopolymer printing, Binder Jetting, Laser Powder Bed Fusion, and Selective Laser Sintering. The addition of XJet’s NanoParticle Jetting technology marks the first use of a direct material jetting system at the facility. NanoParticle Jetting deposits liquid suspensions of metal or ceramic nanoparticles layer by layer, followed by debinding and sintering to produce dense parts.

Partnerships expand regional access to additive manufacturing systems
BLT expanded its regional reach in 2025 through a distribution agreement with AMT3D, granting the South African company responsibility for sales, application support, and technical service for selected metal additive manufacturing systems across Sub-Saharan Africa. Operating in coordination with BLT Europe, the arrangement established localized pre-sales guidance, system installation, and after-sales support for industrial customers. AMT3D, formerly Multitrade 3D Systems, already distributes metal additive manufacturing equipment from multiple manufacturers and provides turnkey installations for aerospace, energy, and tooling applications.
A similar localization strategy has emerged in the Middle East, where the National Additive Manufacturing and Innovation Company (NAMI) partnered with Lockheed Martin to produce 3D printed aerospace and defense components within Saudi Arabia. Initial production focuses on aluminum parts undergoing qualification for entry into the defense firm’s global supply chain. The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program, which emphasizes domestic manufacturing capacity and supply chain localization. Related initiatives include NAMI’s collaboration with Saudi Electricity Company to deploy metal and polymer 3D printing systems for digital spare parts inventories.
