Amanda Boxtel was an avid skier before suffering a serious fall on the slopes of Aspen, Colorado in 1992. The accident left her paralyzed from the waist down, and she was told she would never be able to walk again. This all changed when Ekso Bionics and 3D Systems 3D Printed her a bionic exoskeleton, enabling her to walk with help of crutches. Amanda said that “After years of dreaming about it, I am deeply grateful and thrilled to be making history by walking tall in the first ever 3D printed Ekso-Suit, made specifically for me”.
