Swoosh Technologies Becomes Certified Solidscape 3D Printer Reseller

St Louis hardware and software reseller Swoosh Technologies & Solutions just announced that they will be adding Solidscape 3D printers to the list of products offered to their customers.

max2_3dpSolidscape 3D printers create highly detailed wax patterns optimised for the jewellery industry, dental applications or for investment casting. The 3D printer manufacturer was purchased by Stratasys back in 2011 and was the first in a long line of high profile acquisitions that made them one of the largest 3D printing companies in the world.

By eliminating the need for cleaning and post processing, Solidscape 3D printers can reduce the manufacturing workflow dramatically, while maintaining a level of detail required for small objects like jewellery or precision parts. The newest Solidscape 3D printer model is the Max2, a high precision printer that creates extremely detailed wax patterns and objects that requires no post processing and is ready for casting.

The Max2 is fully automated and boasts user-friendly software and a touch screen interface, and at a cost of $55,000, it isn’t cheap, however it does create extremely detailed objects using its proprietary SCP – Smooth Capture Printing – technology.

Swoosh Technologies primarily provides PLM – Product Lifetime Management – services to industries as diverse as aerospace, oil and gas, automotive and medical equipment. They also offer software, tech and product support and training services to help customers understand the products that they own and use and how to apply them to their business more efficiently. By offering the Solidscape 3D printers, Swoosh is offering hardware to their customers for the first time.
