Inside 3D Printing World Tour Hits Brazil

After taking Manhattan and Berlin most recently, the Inside 3D Printing series of conferences is continuing its world tour and heading to South America. The next show is set to begin tomorrow (April 16th) in Sao Paulo and will continue on through to the 17th for two days of focus on 3D printing possibilities in what has often, in the past, ironically been defined as “the country of the future that will always be the country of the future.”

The venue hosting the event will be the Sheraton Sao Paulo World Trade Center Hotel, located on Nacoes Unidas Ave, 12559, Brooklin Novo, in Brazil’s booming economic capital, that will soon be host to the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.

The formula for the conference will be the same that has proven so successful in all previous editions: and exhibition hosting a mix of large companies offering industrial 3D printers and 3D printing services, together with a group of maker-oriented start-ups; together with a conference offering delegates high quality information.

Participants will be able to visit the companies’ stands and attend two days of conferencing, with presentations by industry leaders such as Terry Wohlers (Principal Consultant and President at Wohlers Associates, Inc), Michael Marchesan (COO of 3D Systems), and Conor MacCormack, Co-Founder and CEO of Mcor Technologies Ltd.

Sponsors of the event – which is organized by Mediabistro and has 3DPI as a media partner – include Stratasys, Stratasys’ newly acquired service organisation Solid Concepts, Concept Laser, Artec 3D Scanners and more than a few local companies such as Cliever and 3DCloner.

Along with more “standard topics” such as 3D printing in Art, Architecture and Aerospace, conference sessions will be tackling hot issues such as 3D printing adoption in Firearms production, Culinary uses, Remote Manufacturing, Green Living, Fashion and Bioprinting, with a specific focus on Trademark and Copyright Protection in the era of digital manufacturing — addressing both global and regional issues.

Inside 3D Printing’s goal is to prepare as many people as possible for the ongoing revolution of manufacturing while trying not to lose sight of what can actually be achieved in the future. And the future of Brazil has but begun.
